When the Springfield Renaissance Development Corporation realized that their old McKenzie Theater could become what they wanted it to be – an arts attraction for downtown- they went all out with renovations. This new Wildish Theater opened its doors in 2006 as a result, after a few years of dedication and hard work.
The magnificent Richard E. Wildish Community Theater Arts and Entertainment uses the building for dance, music presentations, full theatrical productions, and film festivals. Creative purposes include business meetings/presentations or employee appreciation events, weddings, family reunions, and anniversary parties.
