It’s a given that you’ll need to vet a prospective roofing contractor before hiring them. Fortunately, the vetting process doesn’t have to be tedious. There are several ways to speed up the vetting process without compromising any of the results. One such way is to check a roofer’s certifications. To qualify for these certifications, contractors need to meet certain requirements.
In a sense, certified contractors have already been vetted by the manufacturers or non-profits that give certifications. GAF®, one of the biggest and most trusted brands in the roofing industry, offers several levels of certifications, the highest of which is the Master Elite® certification.
What are the advantages of working with a Master Elite roofer?
Exceptional Workmanship
In order to qualify for a Master Elite certification, a contractor has to be properly licensed, adequately insured, committed to ongoing professional training, and have a solid reputation in their local community and with previous customers. The requirements are so stringent that only 2% of the roofers in the country meet the requirements for a Master Elite certification. These stringent requirements are part of the reason why Master Elite roofers have a reputation for consistently delivering quality service and workmanship. In fact, a survey of more than 28,000 homeowners found that an overwhelming 93% of respondents would recommend contractors with a Master Elite certification to others.
Exclusive Warranties
A roofing project can be a significant investment, but you shouldn’t get too preoccupied with the costs. Focus instead on the features that can give value for your money. One of the advantages of working with a Master Elite contractor is that you’re given access to exclusive warranties that offer protection for your roof replacement for a longer time. The Golden Pledge® Warranty is one of GAF’s strongest warranties, offering 50 and 20-year coverage on materials and workmanship respectively.
